Hey yall, happy Mondayyyyyyyy :)))) October is officially over, so bye bye spooky season. I am going to miss the leaves being in peak, jack-o-lanterns sitting on lawns, and scary movies being a Friday night go to. October is my favorite month, because the vibes are immaculate. I love months when they know what they are, they have an aesthetic to them, and you know how you are supposed to act in a way, and then you get to decide if you enjoy the vibes of that month! October knows what it is because it is the month of Halloween!! Halloween music, apple cider, walks in the fall breeze, I feel the most like myself in October, and that is why I love it.

However, now we are in the month of November. This month has always been a little weird to me because it does not have a vibe to it in my opinion?? Idk. It is one of the biggest filler months of the year, because people either try to hold onto the last bit of fall, or they fully embrace that halloween is out of the way so they use November as an extension to celebrate their truly favorite holiday aesthetic: Christmas. In my opinion, I think we should let November truly be its own, and use it to create its own vibe along the lines of thanksgiving. Apple orchards, turkey decorations, idk haha I am just thinking November might be liked more if it had its own aesthetic… What do you think?

Regardless of my opinion on it, inevitably it is November 3rd. I love the beginning of the month, because it is like morning time on a new day. It is filled with so much possibility, and you get excited thinking about all the opportunities you have to make it an amazing month, and a memorable one. I like to start off the month thinking about things that I am excited for. This month, I am excited about seeing so many of my family members at Thanksgiving, me and my dad are going to go see a Christmas Carol at the theatre, and I get a four-day weekend from work which has literally never happened… ever.

I try to create a goal where I have at least 2 things in that month that I am looking forward to. Being excited about things just makes life more enjoyable, you learn to embrace the present time of year, and it gets you motivated to be your best! Besides the excitement factor of the months, I also like to create monthly goals for myself. These are simple, yet detailed enough where I can actually develop a reasonable plan in order to achieve them. That makes sure that I leave the following month with a sense of accomplishment, and I feel like I get to close that chapter in my life feeling like I gained something, which is an incredible feeling. You can never stop learning, stop trying, and stop growing, so focusing on bite sized goals makes it feel a lot more doable in achieving good outcomes.

I spent today thinking about what my 3 goals are going to be for this month, but I think they are going to carry over from October and be an extension of that. Last month, I created a goal where I wanted to try a new craft, and put things in my life that get me out of the house, and off my phone. Because of that, last month I started scrapbooking, and I read 2 books (I know that is not crazy but it is good for me okay!!). This month, I want to read another book, try 3 new cooking recipes a week, and get some form of exercise everyday. If I complete this, I will actually feel so proud of myself, and it will make me grow in my self assurance and trust to be able to hold myself accountable.

I hope you create some fun November goals, feel free to share if you currently have any and we can work on it together!
